Sliedrecht – Merwebolder
De Kuiper Infra Bouw B.V. granted us the placement of these gabions for the project Merwebolder in Sliedrecht. This project involved several gabion retaining walls.
Construction
A total of 232m1 gabion was applied, with a dimension of 320×830 mm. The mesh width used is 50×50 mm.
Filling
The filling consists of 92 tonnes of Alps quarry stone, commercial size 60/120 mm and 10 tonnes of Glass Royal Blue, 50/120 mm. The filling is applied to the gabions mechanically, after which it was set manually on the vertical face sides.
